A prenatal massage can help with the changes in your body by reducing stress, decreasing arm and leg swelling, and relieving muscle and joint pain. Massage may be particularly helpful during a time when medication and other medical options may be more limited. Using specially designed massage pillows, the massage therapist will help get you into a comfortable position for this type of massage. Please let us know when booking how far along you are to ensure your comfort.
Booking a postpartum massage (up to 12 weeks after you give birth) can help you experience a quicker recovery and overall better health after giving birth. Some of the benefits include: muscle relaxation, pain relief, hormone regulation, decreased swelling, better sleep and improved breastfeeding. Please obtain your doctor’s approval before scheduling a prenatal massage if you have conditions such as high blood pressure, preeclampsia, recent surgery or an organ transplant.
